I am posting pictures of my Saturday finds but first let me tell you about the smoothie I had for after lunch in between snack. I don't know why I was still hungry after the huge chef salad I made but I was! You have heard necessity is the daughter of invention, maybe that's the mother, lol, Yes, well in staying with my no additives, preservatives or anything un-natural the idea for this giant smoothie came to me.

I took fresh mango, apple, scant cup of unsweetened almond milk, and 2 cups of crushed ice and 2 packets of pure stevia (by Sweet Leaf) and put it all in a blender, blending till smooth. It was a fruity, light and healthy alternative to junk food, sugary treats and over eating.  I loved it and will do again.

Now, check out this unique box I found. I have not seen one like it and any markings there might have been are under black paint.

It is made of wood and what seems to be some type of other material over laid.

There are 16 double ended decorative silver pinnings I will call them. a  couple of them are  partially embedded and covered with the dark vintage red alcohol ink or dye. Doesn't seem like any paint I am familiar with.

There are 4 triple head decorative pinnings on each corner of the lid.

Here you can see there is a
metal button type thing right in the
center of the yellow flower for the                                                 handle to rest on.
Same on the other side =))

It is a pretty cool find. I am not quite sure if I will find out its' history. If I find out more I will update. I am excited about this interesting find!

Found this treasure box at an out of the way Texas resale shop.
Could hardly believe it was just sitting there!
It is for sell if you are interested.

Did you know that most things that are packaged as Stevia
are really a blend of stevia and ARTIFICIAL SWEETNERS?
Read the label.

Please comment below if you have info on box.  Or any random comment =))  I love to hear from treasure seekers!
