I am posting pictures of my Saturday finds but first let me tell you about the smoothie I had for after lunch in between snack. I don't know why I was still hungry after the huge chef salad I made but I was! You have heard necessity is the daughter of invention, maybe that's the mother, lol, Yes, well in staying with my no additives, preservatives or anything un-natural the idea for this giant smoothie came to me.

I took fresh mango, apple, scant cup of unsweetened almond milk, and 2 cups of crushed ice and 2 packets of pure stevia (by Sweet Leaf) and put it all in a blender, blending till smooth. It was a fruity, light and healthy alternative to junk food, sugary treats and over eating.  I loved it and will do again.

Now, check out this unique box I found. I have not seen one like it and any markings there might have been are under black paint.

It is made of wood and what seems to be some type of other material over laid.

There are 16 double ended decorative silver pinnings I will call them. a  couple of them are  partially embedded and covered with the dark vintage red alcohol ink or dye. Doesn't seem like any paint I am familiar with.

There are 4 triple head decorative pinnings on each corner of the lid.

Here you can see there is a
metal button type thing right in the
center of the yellow flower for the                                                 handle to rest on.
Same on the other side =))

It is a pretty cool find. I am not quite sure if I will find out its' history. If I find out more I will update. I am excited about this interesting find!

Found this treasure box at an out of the way Texas resale shop.
Could hardly believe it was just sitting there!
It is for sell if you are interested.

Did you know that most things that are packaged as Stevia
are really a blend of stevia and ARTIFICIAL SWEETNERS?
Read the label.

 SHABBY CHIC PROJECT
Tuesday Night and Here I Am Again at 9:45
With Treasure I Found  and Pics of the coolest
Bird Cage! It is definitely shabby chic project
worthy and there are some fun things I will be doing to it,
but first let me tell you what happened today!

Dang birds pooped on my new truck in the parking lot at work! So guess what I had to do shortly after getting home? meh!

Well I immediately went out to wash my truck but putting off the inevitable, I thought I would take a couple selfies.
I think it is strange how I took this selfie which sort of
commemorated the day =)) quite on a fluke and now I have  a story worth tellin'.

Got my truck washed and a neighbor stopped by as I was finishing up to say hello and I told him my story. We had a laugh about my truck christening and then he noticed the dealer tags still on and asked if my license plates had come yet. Well, yes they had (but I didn't tell him they had come a couple weeks prior and I was just waiting for someone who would put them on for me.) ANYWAY he offered and that was taken care of in a heartbeat! All taken care of without my asking a soul and it's all thanks to bird poop in a round about way!

That is the way things go sometimes. Wasn't my ideal thing to happen and was aggravated somewhat to have birds do that to my truck..lol..but doesn't it say, "ALL things work for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose?" It just shows me that my heavenly Father cares about every thing that concerns me. Did I foresee bird poop on my truck ultimately working for my good? NO WAY! Pretty cool!!

ALRIGHT!! Here's the pics of the project treasure find and then I am off to bed to Dream about how I can turn a shabby birdcage into  Tres' Shabby Chic =))

MONDAY's almost over. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY WEEKEND!?

Have you ever had one of those weekends where nothing goes the way you had planned in your mind? My Weekend took an unexpected turn and though I did go treasure hunting I am just now posting what I found.Yes, I realize, Monday is pretty near OVER ...
And my weekend?
Where did it go?

EPIPHANY!! Sometimes God's
plan is different from mine! Which means
He gets to over-ride my plan. After all, He
is the Boss of me! And though I drug my
heels the whole 9 yards FINALLY clarity broke
through. All those times I pray and tell My Heavenly Father I want your will for my life, well He orchestrated my week-end for His good purpose, and over rode my plans. Can you hear me laughing? I get ridiculous in my mind sets. It is comical.

I actually grew as a result of it and saw some things I could not have understood otherwise. Mostly about myself and what I really want in life. That is always good. So yes, all things work together for the good of those who love God & are called according to His purpose. I am so glad He has His way even when I balk and dig my heels in! I don't know what His purpose in it all was but, I know it is a good purpose, His higher purpose. I may never know? But that is just fine with me.

Okay here's my Treasure Hunt post Monday Night at 9:45 PM =))

These are a vintage pair of porcelain  Houston Astros Cowboy Boot Mugs they use to sell at the games! There's not a chip or a crack in the pair. They are in PERFECT  condition!
I Couldn't believe they hadn't been scarfed up.  99c a piece. LOL! Yeah!
Aren't they cool? Cooler if you happen to be an ASTROS FAN SINCE FOREVER!!

The birdcage is another find. I will take more pics of it and post next time along with some other things.

Thanks for stopping into the window here! As always comments are welcomed.

SATURDAY SEARCH FOR TREASURE

This morning I decided to combine my protein supplement and have my coffee/breakfast  frozen. After blending up a home made mocha frap with many less calories and carbs than those that the bright shining star deer, coffee place, I showered and decided to let the beautiful morning air do my blow drying. I donned my inline skates that I found on a recent treasure hunt (WHAT? are the chances that they happen to fit perfectly)

Proceeding with caution I set out on our maiden voyage. Haven't tried this since my boys were at home! While it is true I need knee pads and shin guards for quick stops, and arm pads to deflect flying debris, (like parked cars and trees) I managed to do okay for Day 1. There will be many other days to report.

This is my Saturday so far, treasure seekers. Off to a fun start here, especially since I include you in it! Let's go  out and find some treasure. I will report on my find right here and hope you do the same!

Share what you find along your way  in the comment section below. Don't be shy. Happy hunting!

HOW TO TRANSFORM A MESSY HOUSE & STAVE OFF HYSTERIA ONE SPACE AT A TIME!

The worse thing about being sick when you're alone is you guessed it, you're alone. There is no one to make you chicken soup or pick-up after you. No one to say, 'poor baby' or fluff your pillow. It can get a little depressing, and when you are finally on the mend you are happy to get back to your job. However, the scenario builds.
You come home on the first day and are not quite up to snuff. You peel off your clothes and drop them somewhere, anywhere in a randomness that defies order.

You go through a work week of this and by the time the weekend comes your place is really a wreck and you are overwhelmed with the little known and mostly unacknowledged
Post-alone Illness Trauma!  or P.I.T.

The first thing you HAVE GOT to do is relax about it!
Yes, perhaps visitors will be uncomfortable when they sit on that fork,
or find a spoon sticking up between the cushions of the sofa.
But, once YOU DECIDE to realize few humans have a clue of what YOU
experience with P.I.T., the situations become quite amusing, even entertaining to you.
I do love my funny friends! LOL!

After those friends leave the next thing you have GOT to do after re-relaxing is to take an inventory of just what  is right about your place and see the upheaval as part of  the beauty of your LIFE! Laughing will stave off hysteria at this point.

I have been leading up to this great idea for you to get all your beautiful messes in order! This idea works!
Isolate each messy area as you look it over again and rather than feeling  overwhelmed about getting the whole thing in order just choose one or two messy areas to organize at a time!

For example when I had the flu, the coffee table became the catch-all  for dishes, cough medicine, magazines, art projects, nail clippers (and other pedicure items I used after  showers trying to help myself feel better by having pretty looking toes, you know what I'm talking about). Though hardly worth mentioning are oddities like food-crumbs & spills all mixed in with little pieces of polymer clay & glue. This is beginning to sound like a masterpiece indeed!
I'm starting with that messy    coffee table, then my cozy studio area.

ABSOLUTELY!

 Much better!

Time to stop and reward myself!

Movie time! Starbucks!

*Once you have organized the mess of choice be sure to STOP and reward yourself !

~As for the remaining selection of messes to organize?
I remind you what Scarlett O'Hara, said in that great classic Gone With The Wind. Just put your little hand to your brow, gasp, then sigh a little and repeat after Scarlett,

``I'll think about that tomorrow!", and then in breathy words...

More found treasures

I found this Civil War time mourning print in a $5. box at an auction house in Texas. I located the family but never heard back from them.

This was found in Central Texas under the covered porch for free. There are many free things we take for granted including freedom.
